Free hypnosis sessions
Until further notice, I’m offering free online hypnosis sessions (text chat, voice chat, video chat). You decide what the session will be about! Before we go any further with that, let me answer the questions I think you’d most likely want answered in advance:
Hang on a sec, what’s in it for me? I’m not interested in clucking like a chicken!
Don’t worry, I can definitely relate to that. The good news is that hypnosis isn’t about what I want, it’s about what you want! Here is a small list of things that are possible:
- Relax so deeply that you just can’t help but feel great afterwards.
- Change habits, phobias, etc. Stop overeating, feel differently about yourself or others, get over a fear of spiders or elevators or people. Finally get to working out regularly. Whatever you want.
- Let go of inhibitions. You see this in stage hypnosis shows all the time: people who feel great doing the weirdest things, when normally they’d probably feel embarrassed. Why not use that for when it really counts? Anything you used to be unnecessarily nervous about could stop being a big deal.
- Physiological/medical applications. Physiological functions (circulation, immune system, etc.) are largely controlled by the central nervous system, a large part of which resides in the brain. With hypnosis, this control can be changed to some extent, enabling, for example, accelerated recovery from some illnesses. Nobody knows what limitations there are to this.
- Self-hypnosis. Quickly learn how to change your life on your own.
- Let go of bad memories. Sometimes bad memories can have a terrible hold over your feelings until you move on.
- Take drugs without taking drugs. Drugs can make you see, hear and feel things that you wouldn’t normally see, hear and feel. Hypnosis can do the same, only you get to choose what you want to see, hear and feel, and there are no side effects and no hangover! A somewhat special example would be that some people have had major surgery without anaesthetics… just hypnosis.
So you can really show me how to do all of that?
Oh, absolutely. For legal reasons, however, I won’t necessarily do all of them. If you’re a bit creative you can probably imagine that a hypnotist could do quite a bit of damage. For that reason, I will refuse to do any sessions related to diagnosed diseases or possible symptoms of diseases unless I can verify that a session would not endanger your health in any way. I’ll gladly explain in more detail if you’re interested.
Will you force me to do things I don’t want to do?
Perhaps you worry that I might make you my slave if I hypnotize you? That I’ll magically make your goals and morals disappear? Well, many people would now tell you that that’s impossible, and that nobody can change your morals without your consent. That’s not really true, though. While your morals are a very central part of your personality, people often get brainwashed into changing their morals. For example, news stations often have a very large amount of news that make many people fearful of terrorism and other bad things, and then someone presents a convoluted solution that supposedly makes things safe (and incidentally involves getting rid of all privacy). If there is hypnosis involved in that, it’s only in the broadest possible sense. So if you are in any danger of being maliciously manipulated by me, hypnosis itself wouldn’t be the deciding factor. The real question is: do you trust me to be a decent person? Only you can make that decision.
What’s the rate of success?
Okay, this is an important point. I couldn’t prove to you without the shadow of a doubt that a session will be effective; it would be dishonest to claim that about pretty much anything. Still, I feel confident that we’re going to achieve something at the very least.
Are you actually any good at that stuff?
Thanks to many years of research I know very well what not to do. Perhaps your actual question is more like “can anything go wrong?” Well, I always place safety over any other goals, so the absolute worst that could happen to you is nothing or an unexplainable sense of well-being. ;)
There must be something in it for you! Where’s the catch?
There is plenty in it for me:
- Hypnosis is widely seen as some kind of mystical or evil power. It isn’t. If I can contribute to demystifying it, great.
- If I want to make the world a better place (and I do), why not do it one person at a time? Each additional person with supercharged personal power has the potential to make a huge difference in the world.
- I want to test the limits of hypnosis. To this end, I’ll even agree to attempt things that I don’t think are possible.
- Hypnosis is a highly individual thing. It’s quite possible that in order to achieve X, a different hypnotic process would be ideal for you than for any other person on this planet. I want to accumulate as many different experiences as possible to be able to get even better at individualising my hypnotic skills. While I’m offering these free sessions, the downside is that some things may take longer to make possible than they would take once I’ve collected a lot more experience, because I’ll have to consider several different ways of approaching the goal. In short: free sessions might take longer than paid sessions.
